Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus today (April 9) called on international investors to bring their business to Bangladesh, describing the country as a hub of transformative ideas.

He said: “Bangladesh is a land of bold ideas that aim to change the world — and we make those ideas a reality.” 

The CA made the plea at the opening session of the Bangladesh Investment Summit-2025, held at Hotel Intercontinental in Dhaka.

Organised by the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), the summit aims to promote the country’s investment landscape and economic reforms.

Speakers at the inaugural session included Oscar Garcia from Spain, Rosy Winterton from the United Kingdom, and Nasim Manzur from Bangladesh.

BIDA Executive Chairman Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun presented an overview of Bangladesh’s business and investment prospects, while Lutfey Siddiqi, the Chief Adviser’s Special Envoy on International Affairs, moderated the session.

The four-day summit, which began on April 7, is focused on showcasing Bangladesh’s evolving investment climate and creating long-term strategies for sustainable economic growth.

Top executives, global investors, and key policymakers from around the world attended the event.
