The Commonwealth will send a pre-polls assessment mission to Bangladesh from November 19-23, ahead of the 12th parliamentary elections.
Election Commission sources confirmed the matter on Friday (November 3).
Chief Election Commissioner, Kazi Habibul Awal said they said to send a pre assessment team in the third week of November.
Hopefully, they will also come to observe the election, he added.
Earlier, the Election Commission invited applications from interested international observers and media by November 21 to monitor the 12th parliamentary polls.
Meanwhile, the European Union sent a pre-election mission and decided not to send a full observer mission.
Later, the EU said that they would send a four-member observer team to monitor the polls.
